The China Society of Automotive Engineers (China SAE) is a member of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). As a national, non-profit academic organization, it is supported by both the academic and industrial sectors of the automotive field. China SAE is an executive member of the International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies (FISITA).

Presently, China SAE comprises more than 50 branches and working groups.
