Dr. Ghim Ping Ong is Associate Professor and Deputy Head (Research) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National University of Singapore. He received his B.Eng. (Civil) (First Class Honors) with a minor in Business and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore. His research interests include sustainable pavements for a circular economy and multimodal transport infrastructures and operations, with emphasis on future mega-transport infrastructures/operations, such as car-lite/car-free towns, next-generation seaports and airports. Dr Ong received several scientific awards in recognition to his achievements in transportation research, including the Alfred Noble Prize (ASCE), the Hanjin Prize (IAME), the inaugural Takeuchi Yoshio Award (OCDI), the inaugural iSMARTi Early Career Award, and the iSMARTi Achievement Award.
Dr. Kaidi Yang is Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National University of Singapore. He received his B.Eng. (Automation), B.Sc. (Dual in Pure and Applied Mathematics), M.Sc. in Control Engineering from Tsinghua University, China, and his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering (specialized in transportation) from ETH Zurich. His research interests include transportation, operations research, and robotics, with focus on intelligent transportation systems. Dr Yang received the best paper award from OMEGA: The International Journal of Management Science.
