Samir Avdakovic was born in 1974 in Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Tuzla in 2006 and 2012, respectively. Currently, he is working at the Department for Strategic Development in EPC Elektroprivreda B&H and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering – Department of Power Engineering – University of Sarajevo. Since October 2014, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, where he teaches courses in Fundamentals of Power System Operations and Control, and Power System Planning. His research interests include power system analysis, power system dynamics and stability, WAMPCS, smart systems, signal processing, and biomedical engineering.
