Dr. Ajmer Singh Grewal is working as Associate Professor at Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana (India). He obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences on the topic “Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of newer glucokinase activators? from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, Punjab (India). His present areas of research include structure-based drug design and medicinal chemistry of matrix metallo proteinase inhibitors as anticancer agents, antibacterial drug resistance, glucokinase activators as anti-diabetic agents, aldose reductase inhibitors for diabetic complications, PPAR agonists for treatment of metabolic syndrome, multi-potent anti-Alzheimer’s agents, pesticides and environmental chemistry. He owns to his credit a total of 60 publications in national and international journals of repute, 2 book chapters, 1 book, and 2 patents.
