Prof. Igal Szleifer is Christina Enroth-Cugell Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University, USA. He also holds professorships in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the same institution. His research is focused research is aimed at the fundamental understanding of the properties of complex molecular systems that encompass problems at the interface between medicine, biology, chemistry, physics and materials science. His research group concentrates on the development and application of molecular theoretical approaches to study biomaterials, drug delivery systems, models for cell membranes and biological processes.
